Attività all'aperto a Spotorno

Outdoor Activities in Spotorno and Surroundings

Sea and beach.

The coast of Sportorno, Noli and Varigotti goes from Bergeggi to Finale Ligure and is one of the most beautiful parts of the Western Riviera.  The sea in this region has been awarded the Bandiera Blu (blue banner) for several years by now.

It is a seaside which offers views of extreme beauty. The landscape is definded by rocky walls and cliffs around the coast between Noli and Varigotti (promontory of Capo Noli) and there are numerous bays, among which there is the Gulf of Bergeggi with the characteristic island of the same name, the Gulf of Noli and the Baia dei Saraceni.

And then there are the beaches: the most convenient ones for guests that stay at our camping site are those of Spotorno (the free beach Serra is only 10 minutes away – walking distance), the Gulf of Bergeggi and of Noli (both free beaches as well as established bathing), the free beach of Malpasso (right after Capo Noli) and the free beach of Baia dei Saraceni.

Outdoor and Sport.

The territory around Spotorno, Bergeggi, Noli and Finale Ligure is perfect also for the outdoor sport enthusiasts: thanks to the geographical conditions of the landscape (and due to the growing support of the local authorities) this area is simply ideal for a various number of outdoor sports and hence a meeting point for trekkers, bikers, runners and paragliders from all over Europe.

The paved streets along the sea (especially the Via Aurelia) and the hinterland are ideal for excursions with the bicycle. You can drive on easy bike routes or try some of the really demanding climbs that offer a challenge also for the most experienced cyclists.

The hinterland is shared by Spotorno, Noli and Finale Ligure (all of which are in the vicinity of the camping site) and offers perfect routes for both hikes as well as trips with the mountain bike.

The paths lead through miles of Mediterranean vegetation with a panoramic sea view that is simply breathtaking: the network of paths that cover the hills between Spotorno and Noli leads to the discovery of places of incredible natural beauty, like the Grotta dei Falsari (a real cave washed into the rocks with a stunning view over the sea) and those of historic and cultural importance, like the ruins of the ancient churches of San Lazaro and San Michele, the Torre delle Streghe (Tower of the Witches), or the Castello di Monte Ursino, just to mention a few.

In the hinterland of Vezzi Portio, the ancient Via dei Ponti Romani, which is very well preserved, connects Magnone and Val Ponci.

Those who love climbing will find an infinite number of walls to tackle in the near hinterland of Finale Ligure which offers 192 cliffs and more than 3500 paths.

Bergeggi, thanks to the tourist bureau, offers numerous activities for sports enthusiasts as well, this time for the lovers of water sports:

  • guided canoe excursions to admire the island and the coast from an unusual point;
  • diving and snorkeling to discover the “blue paths” full of marine flora and fauna in the Protected Marine Area of the Bergeggi island;
  • guided sailboat excursions (half-day trip or day trip) plus sports fishing.

…and so much more.

What this territory has to offer is truly a lot: we gladly provide you with all the information needed in order for you to create your unforgettable holidays in Liguria.
